Uniq House – Disappointing Experience Despite a Strong Start
Our project with Uniq House at 6695 A, Jimmy Carter Blvd, Norcross, GA, started off promising. The demolition and initial cabinet installation were completed within the first week, which gave us high hopes. Unfortunately, that momentum didn’t last.
Now, more than two months in, the experience has become frustrating and disappointing. The core issue? A serious lack of planning, communication, and accountability—especially from Tari, who has been leading the project. He consistently overpromises and underdelivers, leaving us to manage the project ourselves. We’ve had to create to-do lists just to get basic tasks acknowledged, only to have a couple of items addressed while the rest are ignored.
Workers, when they show up, stay for just a few hours, often without the tools or materials they need. They also receive minimal direction from Tari, further delaying progress. It's been one excuse after another with no clear answers or ownership.
Design-wise, the problems are glaring. For example, the vent hood clearance was completely overlooked, forcing a clumsy “solution” where a cabinet door opens halfway and crashes into the hood. Rather than reconfigure the cabinets properly, we were told flipping the door was our only option. Really? Other missteps include a hacked-together cabinet that doesn’t work with the flexible shelving unit and a mismatched drawer/door setup that looks like a mistake—because it is.
Aside from a short delay on our end related to the backsplash, this job should have been wrapped up in 30 days. But with spotty labor and no real project management, it’s dragged on endlessly.
Having been in the contracting business myself for over a decade, I can say this is a textbook example of how not to run a job. I understand managing multiple projects, but the lack of detail, poor follow-through, and ineffective communication have made this experience unacceptable.
It’s a shame—Uniq House has a great showroom and seemingly decent products. But the execution has completely missed the mark. We regret not going with one of the two other similarly priced proposals we received. Do not use this company! Staff is not very pleasant. Cabinets are prone to damage in transport because they just have cardboard on them. No customer service skills and it’s clear they don’t value their customers

I reached out for a bathroom remodel, and after sharing I lived in Roswell was asked to come into the showroom. When I entered I was barely greeted, and was lazily shown some options. When I asked about the estimate process, I was asked if I had the measurements which I believe they should take as the professionals. After scheduling a date and time for an estimate and to discuss the vision, there was no follow up or confirmation. The day of I reached out to confirm, and they asked to move the date and time. After agreeing, they showed up on the right date but hours earlier than the agreed time. They barely asked any questions about the remodel and vision, demonstrating a lack of knowledge in the field or just lack of interest in working with me. In the end I never received an estimate, and did not bother chasing someone to pay them $30-40k in remodeling. I believe there was some profiling, and understand that is a personal feeling.

I went to The UniqHouse to get my daughters bathroom remodeled. As soon as I walked into The UniqHouse Zack helped me pick out tiles, cabinets, and everything else i needed . Brian and his team were wonderful! Our 1989 bathroom started with a leak and then we went into gutting and renovating the entire bathroom. We didn't stop there and did the second bathroom. We would highly recommend THE UNIQHOUSE.

Aside from a short delay on our end related to the backsplash, this job should have been wrapped up in 30 days. But with spotty labor and no real project management, it’s dragged on endlessly.
Having been in the contracting business myself for over a decade, I can say this is a textbook example of how not to run a job. I understand managing multiple projects, but the lack of detail, poor follow-through, and ineffective communication have made this experience unacceptable.
It’s a shame—Uniq House has a great showroom and seemingly decent products. But the execution has completely missed the mark. We regret not going with one of the two other similarly priced proposals we received. This has been a hard lesson in what can go wrong when a contractor stops showing up for the job—both literally and figuratively.
